Cloud of Luster Wedding Chapel

Cloud of Luster

The Cloud of luster is a wedding chapel located inside a wedding ceremony hall in Himeji city, Japan. The design tries to translate the modern wedding ceremony spirit into physical space. The chapel is all white, a cloud shape enveloped almost entirely in curved glass opening it to the surrounding garden and water basin. The columns are toped in hyperbolic capital like heads smoothly connecting them to the minimalistic ceiling. The chapel socle on the basin side is a hyperbolic curve allowing the whole structure to appear as if it is floating on the water and accentuate its lightness.

Fluid Space Sales Center

Fluid Space

Fluid Space is a sales center interior located in the Yaohai District of Hefei, China, covering 2376 square meters. The layout avoids fixed partitions and uses soft, continuous curves inspired by the form of the Fei River. Smooth lines shape a rhythm of high and low volumes, while a winding spiral staircase reads as a long ribbon and links the levels. Stone, glass, solid wood with bright paint, leather and fine metal are combined throughout. The design aims to create an orderly and artistic space that invites interaction between people and the interior.

A twisted vortex of mirror polished stainless steel connects the north and south sides and improves lighting, ventilation and scale. The reflective surface spreads daylight through the interior. The vortex narrows in the lounge area and ends as a curved bar. The form also blocks direct views from the entrance to the work area.
