Shoe Class

Pinkeye was asked to convert an existing but worn down store space into a hip ‘talk of the town’ sneaker store, on a shoestring - no pun intended. We came up with the idea of the typical classroom as a setting for trés cool sneakers, and as luck would have it we stumbled upon an abandoned school building that was selling off it’s old class and gym furniture for nickels and dimes. At first we had to convince the shop owner, a skate veteran himself, of this 'old skool' design but really soon he totally loved it, creating new fans every day.

ALDAR Headquarters

The Aldar Headquarters designed by MZ Architects has a distinctive and innovative design: a semispherical building comprising two circular convex shaped facades linked by a narrow band of indented glazing. This iconic fully glazed structure is completely circular in elevation and curved in all other directions. The ideas of simplicity, purity and learning from nature, were the main principles of the concept, coupled with the reliance on one of the oldest rules of architecture: that of proportion. Golden West Bay

The Golden West Bay concept exemplifies a pure geometrical scenario tailored by a clear physical language. By forming this elegant and monumental silhouette, the building is seen to celebrate the strength of monolithic symmetrical sculptures which in turn symbolize power.

Aix Arome Cafe

The Café is where visitors feel the coexistence with oceans. Huge egg shaped structure placed within middle of space is simultaneously functioning as cashier and coffee supply. Iconic appearance of the booth is inspired by dark and dull looking coffee bean. Two big openings on top-front of both sides of “big bean” serve as good source of ventilation and natural light. Café provided long table like bunch of octopuses and bubbles altogether. The seemingly randomly hanging chandeliers resemble of fishes’ view to water surface, shiny ripples absorb cozy sunlight from the wide white sky.
