Function combines sales office and gallery, The Shard was design to interact with people in an more inclusive and open way. The use of the unit components of the aluminum thousand paper crane on the facade emphasizes its artistry. The desire is to create events for Chongqing city by taking architecture as the carrier, so that to drive the public's sense of participation and interaction, and bring vitality to the community and society.
Continue readingShuifa's four "stones" arrangement design is inspired by Wang Wei's verse of “Rain passes in the pristine mountain, refreshing autumn evening. Moon shines among the pine, clear spring flows on stones”. The main structure is assembled out of white perforated panels, the density of the perforation of the plate gradually changes from top to bottom according to the function of the building interior. More transparency is given to display area, and less for office space. In general, this subtle gradual change in transparancy creates a pure cultural motifs.
Continue readingThe heart of the Music School in Warsaw is a round-plan concert hall. The area divided in half between the audience and the stage allows to create a comfortable place for musicians and music lovers. The amphitheater arch surrounding young artists gives them an intimate workspace and sense of community with the audience. Wooden sail-shaped reflectors and a ceiling hanging in the hall give it a characteristic architectural expression. All of the acoustic aspects of the Konior Studio project were consulted with Nagata Acoustics.
Continue readingThe project is located in the well-known tea producing area in Yunnan, China, with a pretty landscape and a pleasant climate. It is a design case for the sales hall of a large real estate project. The sales hall has an area of 2,700 square meters and a height of 10 meters. The building is in a curled tea-leaf-shape and has a glass exterior wall. The interior space continues the architectural appearance artistic conception with a tea-leaf-shaped installation as the visual focus and functional layout orientation.
Continue readingThe project is located in Hengqin CBD Island and classified as mix-used land, including office, conference, exhibition, apartment and retail. All functions are planned as a whole to forge it into a landmark. Inspired by "Kowloon map", the project has a unique and spiral shape rising from the ground to the sky to express speed, power, and vitality. In order to achieve such elegant form, state-of-the-art digital techniques are used to rationalize the complex shape and achieve cost control. The project is the combination of traditional Chinese totem and contemporary architecture development.
